Text Snippets

  • first to define what type of html you'r using you type in <!doctype html> every opening you are going to use will start with < and end with > when you close it you put a dash after opening it </> (dont close doc type though, it wont do anything)
  • to start the whole thing you open <html> at the end of the whole code you type in </html> to close it
  • then, in the <head> you type in anything you dont want them to see <\head>
  • after the head, you open the <body> tag, in which people can see on your website and you close it with </body>
  • in the body tag you can insert text, gifs (my personal favorite), and even videos! to insert text you can type in <p> yoz peeps </p> for normal text and <h1> the biggest text <\h1> all the way to </h6> bigger than paragraph but smaller than h1 </h6>
  • to import a gif, you have to save the give to destop with a .gif, example a gif of a bannana you could save it as dacingbannana.gif (save as gif) then in the code you would type, <img src="dacingbannana.gif"> to put a video on your site (not the link, the actual video) you click share on the video you want (on youtube), click embed, then you copy that then paste it into your code! for the image you do the same for a gif but you save it as an image (hint: i recomend that you use a gif with a checkered background so its just the gif, not the gif wiht a white background)
  • video, gif, and image
  • then you close all the tags that you opened.
  • <--- dont delete
