Community Highlights: August 10-16

For many in our Tynker community, school has started! We hope the school year starts off great and we can’t wait to see what teachers and students will create with code in their classrooms. Read on to see some amazing projects from our users in this week’s highlights!

Projects of the Week

Use ‘W’ and ‘S’ to lower or raise the angle of the basketball and hold the spacebar to increase the amount of force to throw the ball into the net!

Upgrade your defense and prevent your wall from being barraged!

The Adventure of Elizabeth by bitesizedmars990

Navigate Elizabeth through the chaos! Collect the coins and defeat the goblins. Also, search for some treasure!

Neon Dodging Game by 22rschuckman

The goal is to get the blue circle to eat as many dots as possible, but you are the red circle and the blue circle only follows you and you are not allowed to touch!

Game Machine 2.0 by icyfrost

Avoid the comets by maneuvering left and right. Achieve the highest score possible by dodging all of them!

As technology becomes more pervasive, we need to have crucial conversations about the purpose, creation, and use of cutting-edge innovation. This month’s Woman in STEM, Dr. Genevieve Bell, works to keep humans in the technology innovation equation as a former anthropologist at Intel and founder of the 3A Institute, a program where students study artificial intelligence!
