Code a Funny Mad Libs® Story for Mom!

For Mother’s Day, your students can use coding to create a Mad Libs-style story for their mothers or other important role models in their lives. Each student will write a story about their mother, then take out certain words that are filled in by whoever is using their program. Every time you play the program, you’ll end up with a different story!

The result is a hilarious – yet heartfelt – tribute to their mothers that they’ll love sharing with friends and family. This is a super fun opportunity to integrate coding into Language Arts class, as students apply their knowledge of grammar and storytelling to craft a story and figure out the part of speech of the words they’re removing.
