Tweets of the Week

This teacher says she skipped writing time to code – good thing coding can help develop writing skills!

These kids are picking up coding quickly! We also saw two more tweets from this teacher. It sounds like she and her class had a great week with Tynker!

It looks like these young coders are pretty focused as they learn algorithms, sequencing, and commands.

It’s exciting to see teachers exploring Tynker!

“Creativity, curiosity, resiliency, computational thinking, design thinking, integration of a multitude of skills, critical thinking- just a few benefits of learning how to code.”

On the Blog

Imij and Mark were our Featured Makers this week! Imij has been coding for 4 years now and loves refining her skills with Tynker. Mark has plans to be a software engineer and has a project with over 23,000 views!

We also posted this article about a teacher in New York who’s loving Tynker! “My students have taught me more about coding than I have taught them, and I thank Tynker for that. We learned together, and this gave all of them the confidence they didn’t know they had in addition to the skills that they will continue to hone.”

Our Code-A-Thon recap article went live this week as well! Over the course of 6 weeks, we received 26,514 project submissions and featured 120 winners. We lined up the top 10 projects of the Code-A-Thon – check it out!

Keep contributing to the Tynker community! Parents and teachers can connect with us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the Tynker Community Forum. Kids can start learning to code and creating for free with the Tynker app for iPads or with our FREE Summer Code-A-Thon!
