On the Blog:
Scout was this week’s Featured Maker. She’s pretty amazing – she taught herself Tynker and Python! One of our favorite bits of wisdom she shared pertains to her experiences with the Tynker community. She said, “You look at the code and there’s just so many opportunities for what you can make – it’s proof that everyone can come up with a different thing. From the same building blocks, you can make all the ideas that you have.”
We also posted this article about Infosys grant recipient Laura Hanna, who told us she stays after school planning lessons…and coding with Tynker! She never assigns a project she hasn’t coded through herself and works with her students to focus on problem-solving.
Tynker in the News:
Exciting news – Tynker was named as a finalist in “Best Coding App or Tool” for the Edvocate awards! Winners are named on Tuesday.
Keep contributing the Tynker community! Parents and teachers can connect with us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the Tynker Community Forum. Kids can start learning to code and creating for free with the Tynker app for iPads and Android tablets or by playing our Hour of Code activities!
