You Can Run a Programming Camp with Tynker!

With Tynker, you can easily integrate programming into your camp. Our curriculum teaches kids to code in a fun, creative, collaborative way. They learn through games, puzzles, and projects, and rapidly gain skills that allow them to build custom games that they can show off to their family and friends.

Our camp solution is widely used by small and large camp providers alike, including Sylvan Learning Centers and iD Tech Camps. With Tynker, you don’t need to have any previous experience with programming–we handle all of that for you.

We’ve recently expanded our camp solution to include a full camp kit for administrators and instructors that makes it even easier to teach programming in your camp.

How to Get Started

Running a Tynker programming camp is easy. Create a free camp instructor account to get started. If you already have a Tynker account as a parent or teacher, just create a second account with a different email address.

With your free account, you’ll be able to add students and classrooms and even teach our free camp course. When you add a $500 deposit (used when you run camps), your account will automatically be upgraded with administrator privileges and access to our updated camp kit. With your administrator account, you can add instructors and assign premium courses. Kids can immediately start learning by building interactive stories, animations, apps, and games. Each day of Tynker Camp is filled with programming projects that campers can share with friends and family. After camp ends, campers will have lifetime access to their Tynker accounts and the projects they’ve created.

Tynker Camp Curriculum

We offer four camp programs, all of which are appropriate for campers with no programming experience and can be led by instructors with minimal programming background. They all have fun activities appropriate for different age groups and experience levels. By the end of any course, campers build many unique projects and learn the fundamentals of programming.

Premium courses cost $50 per student for half-day camps (10 hours of instruction). For Summer 2016, we are offering the following four half-day camp courses:
