Mario's Target Practice - A Talk About Copying
one of my friends recently (april 2018) released a game called "mario's target practice".
it was very popular, and when i created this project, had 1.3 thousand likes.
so why do i want to talk? it's simple. the topic is...copycats.
when i created this project, i saw 4 copies of his project. they were just changed a bit, a few of the blocks knocked over, etc.
i reported all of them, and the ones in the future as well. he and i are getting quite annoyed with this.
i don't want to point fingers, (sophie) but i just want this copying to stop. pkfreeze also made a project like this, but i have seen no changes in you coder's behaveior.
please do not copy projects anymore. in my book, it is ok to get ideas in the tynker community, and to see what people are up to, but don't copy projects exactly.
if "in review" means that people who run tynker look over the project to make sure it is ok, then you people must be listening.
if someone goes to the community, looks at a project, and then changes something about it, i will give two options:
1. make it so that people can't save a project they changed. 2. make it so that if they do save it, they can't publish it.
i don't want to sound mean, but this monstrous problem is getting out of hand. it needs to stop.
we need everyones help. if you ❤️ this project, then i will take it as an oath to not copy projects for as long as you live.
anyway, goodbye, and don't forget to make your oath. this is sirlionswolf, signing out for now.
