To get started, they can work through our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/hour-of-code\/peep-dance-with-friends\">PEEP: Dance with Friends<\/a> tutorial, which teaches them how to create basic animations as they code their own summer dance party. In this tutorial, kids learn to use frame-based animation to code lovable characters Peep, Chirp, and Quack from the popular STEM-themed TV show <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peepandthebigwideworld.com\/en\/\">PEEP and the Big Wide World<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>More experienced coders can start from a blank template and create anything they want! Although kids can submit any project to the Summer Code-A-Thon, extra points will be given for using the theme.<\/p>\n<p>The Summer Code-A-Thon is free and open to all! Just create a free parent-verified account to be eligible to win prizes.
