To date, we&#8217;ve invited thousands of educators to apply, and have accepted 150 so far. We&#8217;re opening this program up again for fall 2018.&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The program has one sustaining mission: <\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Making_computer_science_for_everyone_a_reality\"><\/span><b><i>Making computer science for everyone a reality.<\/i><\/b>&nbsp;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The goals of this program are simple. We want to give teachers, even those who aren\u2019t Tynker experts, a chance to dive into coding education in a big way. We want to prepare our students for a future in which their job descriptions don\u2019t even exist yet. As a Tynker Blue Ribbon Educator, you&#8217;ll&nbsp;get access to curriculum, training, PD opportunities, and, most importantly, community support.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_is_a_Blue_Ribbon_Educator\"><\/span><strong>What is a Blue Ribbon Educator?<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-8509\" src=\"https:\/\/images.tynker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017-03-09-300x133.png\" alt=\"2017-03-09\" width=\"519\" height=\"180\"> <\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>Tynker Blue Ribbon Educator<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the <\/span><b>Blue Ribbon Training Program <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">were created to bring together&nbsp;educators who are dedicated to making coding a priority in their practices. Blue Ribbons receive exclusive training, resources, and access to curricula to help them on the path to becoming code-teacher masters.
