He likes to read books, and when he grows up he wants to be a movie maker. Cool!<strong> <\/strong>Gus recently spoke with us about his experience coding with Tynker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How long have you been coding?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I started in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Have your coding skills improved since you started using Tynker?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How did you feel when you found out your project had been featured?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Excited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do you get inspiration for your projects?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking at the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why do you like to code?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because I would like to become a game designer when I grow up also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What do you do with a project when you&#8217;re done with it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I just save it and then go to the next project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do you know what you\u2019re going to make next?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An RPG game (role-playing video game).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s the best thing about Tynker?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think the things you can create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Has learning to code prepared you for the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do you think other kids should try coding?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, I think it\u2019s fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What advice would you give to kids starting out with Tynker?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To use your imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s your favorite subject in school?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think, history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\u2019s a fun fact about you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I like to make books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gus\u2019 mother, Hillary, spoke with us about her son learning to code with Tynker:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think it&#8217;s really cool. And I like Tynker because he can just kind of go at his own pace, and it&#8217;s all self-directed and self-guided. And he&#8217;s learned a lot in the time that he&#8217;s been using the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Do you think coding has any benefits for Gus?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think using his creativity and maybe goal-setting for the projects that he wants to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How do you support Gus\u2019 coding endeavors?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We just try to give him the tools that he needs in the program to do the projects that he wants to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thank you!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We want to thank Gus and his mother for taking the time to speak with us about coding with Tynker.
