Every year we challenge ourselves to come up with new ways of supporting you and your students. As always, 2021 was a busy year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ten Highlights from 2021:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tynker Everywhere: <\/strong>We rebuilt the Tynker and Tynker Junior apps to be available both on iPhones and on Android devices! Just search for us on the <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/search?q=Tynker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Play Store<\/a> or<a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/tynker-coding-for-kids\/id805869467#?platform=iphone\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/tynker-coding-for-kids\/id805869467#?platform=iphone\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple App Store<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>High School Courses:<\/strong> We added two courses to our ever-growing library of curriculum for older students.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An exciting <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/high-school\/coding-curriculum\/data-science-1?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Data Science course<\/a> that brings this popular subject to high schoolers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/high-school\/coding-curriculum\/intro-java?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">new Java course<\/a> that introduces this industry-standard programming language in an accessible and engaging way.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><strong>Distinguished Educator PD Pathway<\/strong>: <\/strong>We started our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/school\/training\/certification\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tynker Certification<\/a>&nbsp;pathways with beginner to advanced teacher training. These include opportunities for teachers to join a learning community of active Tynker teachers, and broaden their skills with students. It&#8217;s simple and it&#8217;s free!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tynker en Espa\u00f1ol District Grants:<\/strong> Our K-5 curriculum is now available in Spanish for ELL students via a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/blog\/tynker-offers-grants-for-its-spanish-language-coding-curriculum\/\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/blog\/tynker-offers-grants-for-its-spanish-language-coding-curriculum\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">district grant program<\/a>. Bring equitable coding opportunities to your students by having a district administrator apply right away.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Arcade Games:<\/strong> You&#8217;ll love our new<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/hour-of-code\/#\/arcade\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/hour-of-code\/#\/arcade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Arcade Game Makers<\/a>. Start up your favorite and begin building your very own platformer games. Share them with friends and have them join in on the fun!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Comprehensive Help System:<\/strong> We launched a brand-new Help system to make it easier for you to get the answers you need when you need them. Simply click on the green question mark symbol on your screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Text Coding DIYs: <\/strong>To keep your more advanced students engaged and creating, we added dozens of new DIY project templates for Python and JavaScript. Log in and check them out in our open play <em>Create Project<\/em> area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Updated Scope and Sequence:<\/strong> We revised and simplified our standards mapping documents with new dedicated resources for<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/school\/coding-curriculum\/Tynker-Scope-Sequence-Block-Coding.pdf\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/school\/coding-curriculum\/Tynker-Scope-Sequence-Block-Coding.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tynker Blocks<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/school\/coding-curriculum\/Tynker-Scope-Sequence-Text-Coding.pdf\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/school\/coding-curriculum\/Tynker-Scope-Sequence-Text-Coding.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">text coding languages<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Classroom Presentations:<\/strong> Ready-to-use slides are now available for 19 of our courses. No more prep time need building your own presentations, just fire ours up and start your class immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>College Board Endorsement: <\/strong>Our landmark Advanced Placement courses, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/classroom-school\/coding-curriculum\/apcs-principles\">AP CS Principles<\/a> and <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>, have completed the rigorous College Board review process. They are now fully endorsed, with complete Learning Objectives, Essential Knowledge, and Professional Development alignment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re working on so many more terrific things for you this year.
