Then, unleash your inner <em>YouTuber<\/em> and tell your friends and the Tynker community why and how you made the project.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The action <strong>starts on Monday, February 8<\/strong> and runs through the end of February to give you enough time to make a great project and win! And, as always, stay tuned! We\u2019ll be announcing the winners live on YouTube on Friday, March 19.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Heres_how_to_participate\"><\/span>Here\u2019s how to participate:<br><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Create a project on Tynker<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please use one of these prompts,&nbsp;or&nbsp;pick&nbsp;your&nbsp;own!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/ide\/v3?p=5c4631fd04605813eb73cf0a\">Black History Month<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/ide\/v3?type=diy&amp;p=5e39bb5f04605811a75e05d8\">Rainbow Hearts (Tynker Blocks)<\/a>&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/code\/project\/5e3b510e046058414725e128\">Rainbow Hearts (Python)<\/a> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Make a video<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Create a short video that showcases what you did, including some of the code you used. And, of course, be CREATIVE and have FUN. The total length of your video must be&nbsp;<strong>60 seconds or less<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Here are some example themes for your video:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tell us how you came up with the idea for your project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explain your code and how you built the project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tell us what you like about coding with Tynker <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can use voice-over or images to help tell your project\u2019s story<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your parents approve, you can include an image of yourself in the video<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> 3. Upload your video on YouTube <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make sure that the video is <strong>Unlisted<\/strong>. (Click the Edit button to access the&nbsp;<strong>video&#8217;s<\/strong>&nbsp;settings. Go to the Privacy section of the page. There you&#8217;ll see the option to mark you&nbsp;<strong>video<\/strong>&nbsp;as \u201c<strong>unlisted<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cpublic\u201d, or \u201cprivate\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your video must NOT include:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any personal information about you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any reference to your city or address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any phone number or other personal information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please only use your Tynker public profile or first name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Submit your video to enter the contest<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submit the YouTube video link of your project to Tynker using this submission form.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScCs9RIuEM-H_TdV2HFPvi7why4Q1wchP9u73WTurwwMsfKMg\/viewform\"><strong>SUBMISSION FORM<\/strong><\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tynker_is_giving_out_10_prizes\"><\/span><strong>Tynker is giving out 10 prizes!<\/strong><br><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1st Place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2nd Place<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8 more winners!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tynker reserves the right to not give out any prizes if the submissions don&#8217;t meet our minimum standards.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners will be paid via PayPal. International winners will receive a cash transfer in their own currency equivalent to USD.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also, please make sure it\u2019s an original submission that you started coding from the prompt. Unless you began your project from one of the challenge prompts, your submissions won\u2019t be entered into the competition.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Rules\"><\/span><strong>Rules<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participants are required to have a free Tynker home or school student account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entries should be received by March 1, 2021 using the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLScCs9RIuEM-H_TdV2HFPvi7why4Q1wchP9u73WTurwwMsfKMg\/viewform\">submission form<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants are required to keep their projects and videos published for four weeks after the code jam is over \u2014 until April 1, 2021 at a minimum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All submitted projects are available for Tynker to use in marketing and promotional materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winners must have a parent account connected to their child account to be eligible for cash prizes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tynker reserves the right to not give out any prizes if the submissions don\u2019t meet our minimum standards.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_do_Tynkers_judges_select_the_winners\"><\/span><strong>How do Tynker\u2019s judges select the winners?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>25% based on video originality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25% based on video creativity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25% based on Tynker project\u2019s use of code<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25% based on Tynker project\u2019s creativity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Tynker will only award cash prizes to the challenge submissions that our judges feel best fit the criteria for selecting winners as outlined here.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants can submit as many projects using as many prompts as they wish and can win multiple prizes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Winners will be announced by March 19, 2021 on YouTube Live<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Winners will be notified via email to parents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tynker has final discretion on judging criteria<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The decisions of the Tynker judges are final<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Good luck!
