This course is a great introduction to computer science, teaching kids to build a wide variety of simple programs with <em>events<\/em>, <em>loops<\/em>, and <em>conditional logic<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/8v0fqtKSGtz-3Bx6eiRskfbdqR4xO0br6C_9JJKP3N6xhZZspIkDOnTvGtes5XiIKFnJzu7be1AHUFqyAEOjd-8lsmSARmxQUUY8MnAiQA1Lgcjfvprip8jmEdNUyGunJTyw67YV\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And there\u2019s more! Ada\u2019s Adventure is packed with over 180 coding activities. Plus, all 14 chapters feature amazing animated characters who will guide your kid with voiceovers through different coding concepts, motivating them with challenges and games. These new concepts are introduced at a comfortable pace that allows kids to fully grasp them. Along the way, they learn to troubleshoot and debug programs while building the perseverance to see a project to completion.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Just_some_of_the_cool_activities_kids_will_complete_with_Ada\"><\/span><strong>Just some of the cool activities kids will complete with Ada:<\/strong><br><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Intro to the Workshop <\/strong>&#8211; Kids are introduced to the Workshop \u2014 Tynker\u2019s patented visual programming environment \u2014 where they\u2019ll use drag-and-drop coding to build their own programs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Animation<\/strong> &#8211; This activity teaches kids the basics of animation by switching through multiple frames in a counting loop, then shows them how to control the speed of the animation by using delays.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Storytelling<\/strong> &#8211; Kids get to create their own animated stories and jokes by designing conversations with speech bubbles and \u201cwait\u201d blocks to time their dialogue.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Motion &amp; Interactivity<\/strong> &#8211; Kids will learn how to position Actors using x- and y- coordinates, then move them, point them towards other objects, or turn them in response to user input via the mouse or tilt controls \u2014 all the basics to start building their own games.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Problem-Solving<\/strong> &#8211; Throughout the course, there are over a dozen coding puzzles for kids to exercise their problem-solving skills.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Slideshows<\/strong> &#8211; Kids will make presentations and slideshows where they\u2019ll learn to switch between scenes and use timing to automate slides.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Character Rigs<\/strong> &#8211; In this activity, kids will design their own characters by programming faces, arms, and legs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Birthday Card <\/strong>&#8211; In creating their own interactive greeting cards, kids will reinforce coding concepts such as hiding and showing Actors, applying visual effects, and handling background changes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Music Machine <\/strong>&#8211; Tynker lets Kids will unleash their inner musician as they compose and play songs! Activities include generating music using melodic notes, instrument sounds, and changing tempos.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Geometric Art <\/strong>&#8211; Let\u2019s get artsy!
