Along with performing, Rosalie loves playing Minecraft and Roblox! She is eight years old and told us that whatever she decides to be when she grows up, she wants it to involve coding! She mentioned being an actress or an artist as well.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rosalie\u2019s favorite subjects in school are science and history because they are super interesting! We were so excited to talk with Rosalie about how she brings her creativity to coding!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How did you get introduced to Tynker?\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve been coding for 1 or 2 years and my mom showed me this other coding thing, and I thought it was kind of hard, but then I tried Tynker and it was fun!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How did you learn how to use Tynker when you were first starting out? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I used some Tynker courses and I used that Codey guy up there! You grab the code blocks and he tells you some stuff about it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How have your coding skills improved since you started using Tynker? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At first coding was hard, but then I started practicing and it started to get fun! And I made some cool games and animations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How did you feel when you found out your project had been featured? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was super excited!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What is your favorite project you\u2019ve made so far? <\/b>&#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wolfy Dress-Up&#8221; and one of the cake decorators! She really liked the cake decorator and &#8220;Wolfy Dress-Up&#8221;! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Why do you like to code? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I like to code because I can make my own games and animations. Sometimes I make shows! I made shows about animals and high school stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Do you have a favorite code block? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I like all of them! Maybe the \u201cswitch costume\u201d block is my favorite.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What do you do with a project when you\u2019re done with it? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I show it to my sister to see if she likes it, and usually if it\u2019s a super good project, I\u2019ll publish it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What are you planning to make next? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I think I\u2019m going to make more episodes of the show I\u2019m making! I think I\u2019ll make it about two wolves who are on two different paths but become good friends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s the best thing about Tynker?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> That you get to make your own stuff on there! It\u2019s super cool!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How do you think learning to code has prepared you for the future?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I think maybe if I do a job that involves coding. I\u2019m not sure but there could be a high school test on it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Do you think other kids should try coding? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yeah, it\u2019s super cool! It\u2019s fun and it\u2019s not too hard and you don\u2019t have to use the actors, you can draw them!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What advice would you give to kids starting out with Tynker? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019d give them advice to try to take tutorials and coding courses so you can learn more about it and make your own project!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jennifer, Rosalie\u2019s mom, explained some of the ways Tynker has helped Rosalie develop as a person: &#8220;I think that she\u2019s heading in the right direction and I find it very interesting that she can create these &#8211; she has a lot of visions in her head, she\u2019s very creative, but to see her make it all happen, the whole scene or whatever she wants to happen, for her to be able to show me is good for her, good for her learning processes and I think that she\u2019s become more patient working though her frustrations.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Coding has also helped Rosalie express her artistic side:\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0\u201cI have seen her drawing style evolve, so she definitely has a style now where if you put a bunch of different kids\u2019 drawings in front of me, I can easily pick out hers. I think she\u2019s developed a way of drawing both on paper and on Tynker that is distinct to her. I think that\u2019s going to keep going and her drawings are going to become more refined and detailed.&#8221;\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you, Jennifer and Rosalie, for interviewing with us!
