Tynker Builds Coding Confidence in South Carolina Students<\/h1>\n

Michele Seborowski-Price is a teacher at Orchard Park Elementary School at Fort Mill School District in Fort Mill, South Carolina. She\u00a0<\/span>has worked in Technology since 2002 and is currently working on her Masters in Instructional Technology. \"\"Tynker is one of the easiest and most fun ways to teach coding<\/a> to ALL of my students. Even my first graders were working through code challenges with ease! The format is fun and engaging, and students frequently ask if they can use Tynker when they have “free time.”<\/p>\n

Tynker has made coding fun and exciting for most of my students. The variety of assignments allow every level to be actively engaged. The lessons are designed so that students have the opportunity to be successful and provide plenty of opportunities to persevere in problem-solving!<\/p>\n

Computer Science is crucial in developing problem solving skills. The foundation of the “new learner” is rooted in the ability to handle the four C’s. Tynker provides a way for students to collaborate as they work to solve new coding challenges and allows for creativity as they add their own personal touch to new games.<\/p>\n

Tynker allows me to have pre-created lessons and organized tasks. It allows for proper scaffolding of CS lessons so that students can work their way up to more challenging tasks with repetition and confidence.<\/p>\n
