He\u2019s an incredibly impressive maker who loves black and white TV shows (his favorite two shows are the Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction) and enjoys drinking warm fresh milk from his goats every day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also likes creating with Minecraft and Tynker, playing on the computer, building with LEGOs, making things out of modeling clay, and spending time with his family.&nbsp;<\/span>We caught up with JuniorGamerGuy and his mother to learn more about him and why he codes \u2013and we learned a lot!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>What do you want to be when you grow up? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I want to be a game programmer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s your favorite subject in school? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My favorite subject is math.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Why do you like to code? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I like to code because when I make a program and then use it, I can play with what I have created.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How did you feel when you found out your project had been featured? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I felt really excited that Tynker sent me a message about getting featured on Tynker\u2019s blog! I was really happy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How do creativity and coding fit together for you? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well, creativity and coding are the same for me. Coding counts as creating something, and I like creating things!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How do you get inspiration for your projects? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I look at other people&#8217;s projects, and ideas just come into my head.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What are you planning to make next? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I am planning to make Minecraft LEGO Life 2 in Tynker.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What is your favorite project you\u2019ve made so far? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My favorite one is Minecraft Lego Life 1. I got 54k views and 413 likes!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<!-- iframe plugin v.6.0 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"\/ide\/embedded?p=59aaee881c36d1e91a8b456b&#038;controls=yes&#038;autostart=no\" height=\"350\" width=\"100%\" class=\"iframe-class\"><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Minecraft LEGO Video !!! \u2013 see more of JuniorGamerGuy&#8217;s projects <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tynker.com\/dashboard\/student\/#\/community\/profiles\/59d10d8976f293fd148b456d\">here<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>What do you do with a project when you\u2019re done with it? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I check my project when it is done, then if it works I publish it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How did you get introduced to Tynker? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My dad introduced me to coding and Tynker!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How did you learn how to use Tynker? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I dragged blocks to Codey (the little fuzzy monster in the top right corner) to see what they do.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What\u2019s your favorite feature in Tynker? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I like that you can play your projects!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Do you ever Tynker with your friends? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My friends don&#8217;t Tynker, but I Tynker with my sister.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How do you think learning coding now will help you in the future? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When you want a program and no one has it, you can make it yourself and use it!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Do you think other kids should try coding? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, I advise other kids to try coding, because coding is very useful.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What advice would you give for kids starting out with Tynker? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If it doesn&#8217;t work, never ever give up \u2013 just TRY AGAIN!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Calling herself \u201cthe proud parent of JuniorGamerGuy,\u201d his mother Alla said that she has encouraged her children \u201csince the age of five years old to learn English and how computers function.\u201d She impressed us with her passion for education, saying, \u201cThey have always had access to technology. They speak three languages fluently and coding is to be their fourth. I know as a parent that without the knowledge of coding they will only have a mundane life. The future is here and there is no alternative for them other than to code.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While she doesn\u2019t have much coding experience himself, she is an engineer and is \u201cvery computer literate.\u201d She told us, \u201cI have been working with computers since 1992. I know them pretty well.\u201d Her main focus is on \u201cbuilding skill sets within my children that can carry them forward in the future. My time is dedicated to their personal growth and education. Computer science skills are very necessary for their future, and without these skills they will be lost.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She said, \u201cI encourage them to free think and apply this creativity to their coding projects. I want them to understand that whatever they think they can do in life they can achieve and these thoughts as well can be applied to coding and brought to life virtually.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When asked what benefits coding has for her children, JuniorGamerGuy\u2019s mother told us, \u201cThere are really too many to list! The main few are: focus has been dialed in, attention span has been completely captured, and daily child&#8217;s play is starting to come to life virtually. Their focus and desire to build has increased.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It made us really happy to hear that Tynker has had such a positive impact in Alla\u2019s family! She said, \u201cI think Tynker is one of the best things that has happened to my children. My children started learning coding through this tool and as a result of this interest in coding in Minecraft I sought out Tynker.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you for speaking with us, JuniorGamerGuy and Alla!
