Tynker Has 4 Fun-Filled Thanksgiving Coding Projects
In our newest Thanksgiving project, Falling Feast, kids build a food-catching game using Tynker’s Pose Tracking AI library for Thanksgiving. Kids use Face Detection in JavaScript or Tynker Blocks to track the state and position of their mouth in their camera feed, to “catch” virtual food items with their open mouths, and to score points. This DIY module includes a sample project, a step-by-step tutorial, and ideas on how kids can modify their code. Webcam required.
Kids love Tricky Turkeys. With Tricky Turkeys, kids can use block coding or JavaScript and the HTML canvas to create a game where turkeys hide behind a grid of obstacles. You aim to find them all by clicking on them before time’s up!
In Gobble Trouble, kids can code a hide-and-seek game with turkeys! It’s almost time for Thanksgiving dinner, and all of the turkeys want to be the last one caught. Children will use coding concepts like simple events and messaging, program control, and cloning in this holiday activity!
