Tweets of the Week

Between the release of Robotics Engineer Barbie and ISTE, Twitter was busy this week! Big names like TIME, People, and Cosmopolitan expressed excitement about Tynker and Barbie’s latest partnership. There were also a lot of cute Instagram posts of girls coding with our new Barbie courses.

ISTE 2018 was a success! We saw lots of cool tweets from educators and members of the Tynker team – it’s cool to see international teachers using Tynker.

These girls are having fun flying drones at ISTE!

In fact, kids all over had a blast flying drones this week!

How fun – see how this class created comics in Tynker!

On the Blog

This week’s Featured Makers were Mathew and Penelope. Mathew told us that he loves to code because he finds joy in creating projects for other people to enjoy. Penelope told us that her coding skills have improved a lot since she started coding with Tynker and that she thinks “it’s really amazing, what coding can do.”

We also posted this article full of coding tips from kids, for kids. One of our favorites is, “I would say to never give up. Once you start a project and something is hard don’t just quit it. If you have trouble coming up with an idea, just ask your family and friends – or look on Tynker, because loads of people use Tynker!”

Keep contributing to the Tynker community! Parents and teachers can connect with us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the Tynker Community Forum. Kids can start learning to code and creating for free with the Tynker app for iPads and Android tablets or with our FREE Summer Code-A-Thon!

Tynker enables children to learn computer programming in a fun and imaginative way. More than 60 million kids worldwide have started learning to code using Tynker.
