Put a Creative Spin on Father’s Day Festivities With Tynker!

Father’s Day is coming right up! It’s the perfect day for kids to spend quality time with their fathers or other important role models.

Father’s Day became an official holiday almost 60 years after Mother’s Day was recognized. A woman named Sonora Smart Dodd dreamed up the idea while listening to a Mother’s Day sermon in her church! An innovative history deserves an innovative celebration – why not celebrate Father’s Day with two new coding projects from Tynker?

Father’s Day Fishing is a game kids can program and play with their dads. It comes with a step-by-step tutorial that guides them through programming a fun fishing game where players raise and lower their hooks to catch fish! It’s available on both web and mobile, so it’s easy to make and enjoy a little friendly competition with a loved one.

Fathercraft puts a creative spin on Father’s Day festivities! Kids can create a Minecraft skin of their dad and customize it until it looks just like him. Encourage your children to share the finished product with their dads. They can even download the skin and upload it to their Minecraft account in order to play Minecraft using their Fathercraft skin! Fathercraft is available on our web platform.
