Description
The patch has a black background to represent the pitch black of space. It has a red rim to place the astronauts names in. It has the Orion spacecraft , with the American flag on its trunk and moving flames out of it. There are eleven stars to represent the Apollo 11 mission that first went to the moon. There is the moon that has craters on it in the shape of woman and man signs because the aim is to get the first woman and more men to the moon and beyond! The word 'forward' is in blue as its an important part of the mission name, and with the red outside edge and white Orion it represents the American colours again.
